Divorcing myself from the Words Heathen and Pagan

Hail!

For 25 years I've called myself a pagan and I was proud to be a part of the pagan community. However, in light of what has happened in the Asatru/heathen communities as well as some shocking information about what's going on in the pagan community I find that I can't call myself a heathen or a pagan. I don't want to be around people that will allow anyone to join the pagan community even though that person believes in things that I can't believe in, like racism.

Pagans have opened their minds so wide that their brains have fallen out. Christian Day has stated that he refuses to call himself a pagan due to this reason and I commend him for leaving. I'm still going to call myself a Astaruer but I refuse to call myself a Pagan or a Heathen. I've divorced myself from those words and I'm not sorry to leave. When the pagan community realizes, as a whole, that we can't be inclusive like we want to be then I'll come back.

Until then, bye bye, and don't complain when the roaches infect your food.
